Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or analytics tools and other technologies into our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies, and does not perform independent analyses. It merely manages and deploys the tools integrated through it. However, Google Tag Manager records your IP address, which may also be transmitted to Google’s parent company in the United States.

The use of Google Tag Manager is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. In this context, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used, and the origin of users. These data are assigned to the respective end device of the user. No assignment to a user ID takes place.

In addition, Google Analytics allows us to record your mouse movements, scrolling behavior, and clicks. Google Analytics also uses various modeling approaches to supplement the collected data sets and uses machine-learning technologies for data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable recognition of the user for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when users enter certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). In addition, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on user data available to Google (e.g., location data and interests) (audience targeting).

As the website operator, we can quantitatively evaluate these data by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements resulted in corresponding clicks.

Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

This website uses the Meta Pixel for conversion measurement. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Meta, the collected data is also transferred to the United States and other third countries.

This allows the behavior of website visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the website of the provider by clicking on a Meta advertisement. This enables evaluation of the effectiveness of Meta advertisements for statistical and market research purposes and optimization of future advertising measures.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, enabling a connection to the respective user profile on Facebook or Instagram, and allowing Meta to use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Meta’s Data Usage Policy: www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the website operator.

The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

We use the advanced matching function within the Meta Pixel.

Advanced matching allows us to transmit various types of data (e.g., place of residence, state, postal code, hashed email addresses, names, gender, date of birth, or telephone numbers) of our customers and prospective customers collected via our website to Meta. This enables us to tailor our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram more precisely to persons interested in our offerings. In addition, advanced matching improves attribution of website conversions and expands Custom Audiences.

Where personal data is collected on our website using the Meta Pixel and forwarded to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, are joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR. Joint controllership is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its transfer to Meta. Subsequent processing by Meta is not part of the joint controllership.

The obligations jointly incumbent upon us have been set out in a joint controller agreement. The wording of this agreement can be found at:
www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.

Meta is responsible for the data security of its products. Data subject rights regarding data processed by Meta can be asserted directly with Meta. If you assert your rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Meta.

Data transfers to the United States are based on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission. Details can be found at:
www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and www.facebook.com/help/566994660333381.

Further information on privacy protection can be found in Meta’s privacy notices at: www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can deactivate the “Custom Audiences” remarketing function in the advertisement settings at:
https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged into Facebook to do so.

If you do not have a Facebook or Instagram account, you can opt out of usage-based advertising by Meta on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the United States intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the United States. Each company certified under the DPF commits to complying with these data protection standards. Further information can be obtained from the provider at the following link: www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.

Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service mentioned above. This is a contract required under data protection law, which ensures that the service provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The provider of this service is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Data Processing by the LinkedIn Insight Tag
With the help of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, we receive information about visitors to our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we are able, among other things, to analyze professional key data of our website visitors (e.g., career level, company size, country, location, industry, and job title) and thus better tailor our website to the respective target groups.

Furthermore, the LinkedIn Insight Tag enables us to measure whether visitors to our website perform a purchase or another action (conversion tracking). Conversion tracking may also be carried out across devices (e.g., from PC to tablet).

In addition, the LinkedIn Insight Tag provides a retargeting function that allows us to display targeted advertisements to visitors of our website outside of this website. According to LinkedIn, no identification of the advertising recipient takes place.

LinkedIn also independently collects so-called log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics, and time of access). IP addresses are truncated or, if used to reach LinkedIn members across devices, hashed (pseudonymized). Direct identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymized data is deleted within 180 days.

The data collected by LinkedIn cannot be assigned by us, as the website operator, to specific individuals. LinkedIn stores the collected personal data of website visitors on its servers in the United States and uses it for its own advertising purposes. Further details can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy at:
www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

Legal Basis
Where consent has been obtained, the use of the above-mentioned service is based exclusively on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Where no consent has been obtained, the use of this service is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including the use of social media.
